Alex Gavrilovic Shines; Bursaspor Secures First Win in FIBA Europe Cup

In their second game of the FIBA Europe Cup, Bursaspor hosted Anorthosis.

The excitement of the second week of the FIBA Europe Cup came to an end with tonight’s matches. In their second Group B match, Bursaspor faced the team from South Cyprus, Anorthosis, at home.

In a closely contested game, Bursaspor emerged victorious with an 86-79 win, led by Alex Gavrilovic’s outstanding performance.

With this result, Bursaspor secured their first victory in the group in their second match. Their next challenge will be an away game against Slovakian side Levice.

Meanwhile, Anorthosis, after suffering their second consecutive loss, will face a tough match against Zaragoza in Spain.

For Bursaspor, Alex Gavrilovic had an impressive performance with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 block. Jaylon Brown contributed 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Donta Grantham added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. David Mutaf chipped in with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.

On the Anorthosis side, Marques Townes scored 19 points and provided 4 assists, Duda Sanadze added 15 points and 2 rebounds, and Kentwan Smith recorded a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals.
