Alperen Sengun Could Sign a New Contract with the Houston Rockets Soon

According to reports in the U.S. media, the Houston Rockets are looking to extend Alperen’s contract in the near future.

The Turkish star’s rookie contract with the Houston Rockets is set to expire in the summer of 2025. Due to this, the Rockets are planning to renew Alperen’s contract sooner rather than later.

According to a report by Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Rockets could extend Alperen Şengün’s contract by October 21. The report indicates that the deal could be finalized “seriously” within the next three weeks.

If no agreement is reached by October 21, 2024, Alperen would become a restricted free agent at the end of the season. Therefore, it’s crucial for the Rockets to complete this extension soon.

If the Rockets decide to offer Alperen a max contract, the Turkish star could sign a deal worth up to $224 million over five years.
