The Philadelphia 76ers, aiming to build a strong roster for the upcoming season, made their most significant move of the offseason by acquiring Paul George.
In an effort to ease the load on Joel Embiid in the paint, the Sixers also brought back Andre Drummond, who had previously donned the team’s jersey.
During the team’s media day ahead of the new season, the experienced center made some confident remarks.
Andre Drummond said, “I know why I’m here. I am the best rebounder this game has ever seen. My job is simple—to help this team win. I want to take some pressure off Joel and contribute to the development of the young players.”
Throughout his 12-year NBA career, Drummond has played for six different teams, averaging 12.7 points and 12.4 rebounds in 864 regular-season games.
