Ange Postecoglou Takes Responsibility for Tottenham’s Inconsistent Form
After Tottenham’s 2-1 home loss to Ipswich, which has increased pressure on the club, Ange Postecoglou took full responsibility for the team’s continued problems.
Tottenham dropped to 10th place in the Premier League after losing to relegation-threatened Ipswich Town at home. Despite having opportunities, Spurs had too much to do in the second half after goals from Sammie Szmodics and Liam Delap in the first half.
Postecoglou’s Reaction
Speaking to BBC Sport, Postecoglou said:
“Hugely disappointing. We started slow and passively. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb. Second half we had chances but didn’t do enough to win the game. It’s just down to me. I’m not getting consistent performances from the players. It’s something I need to address. I’m the person in charge so that’s usually the way it goes. I take responsibility. We can’t give ourselves those kind of mountains to climb.”
