Manchester United’s injury woes continue, as right-back Noussair Mazraoui withdraws from Morocco’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers owing to an injury. Mazraoui was replaced at halftime in United’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday by Victor Lindelof.
Increasing Injury Concerns
Mazraoui’s departure from Morocco’s roster adds to Erik ten Hag’s growing injury concerns. Harry Maguire was forced to leave the match against Aston Villa, and Argentina winger Alejandro Garnacho withdrew due to a knee injury. Kobbie Mainoo also pulled out of the England team due to an injury.
United are already struggling with injuries to important players such as Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, and Mason Mount, but Ten Hag hopes that these fitness difficulties do not destroy their season like they did last year.
As United attempts to deal with the expanding injury list, Ten Hag will most likely have to restructure his roster even further.
