Arsenal Advised to Pursue Victor Osimhen
Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has voiced strong support for the Gunners to target Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen in the upcoming January transfer window, emphasizing the impact the Nigerian forward could bring to Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal’s recent dip in form has caused them to slide to fourth place in the Premier League, currently nine points behind Liverpool. A lack of goals has plagued the Gunners, with the team scoring just once across their last three games. Kai Havertz leads with only four league goals, while Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli follow with three each—a tally that falls short for a club chasing the title.
Gallas on Osimhen’s Potential Impact
In an interview with Prime Casino, Gallas spoke highly of Osimhen, comparing him to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba for his ability to unsettle defenders. “That’s the type of profile Arsenal need.” Gallas said, noting that even if Osimhen doesn’t score 20 goals, his physicality and presence would make it difficult for defenders and open up opportunities for teammates.
