“Arsenal Set to Shake Up Goalkeeper Roster: Dan Bentley Targeted as Ramsdale Replacement”

Arsenal Plans to Increase Bid for Former Academy Player Dan Bentley

Ahead of the new season, Arsenal has decided to update their goalkeeper rotation and is planning to increase their bid to sign former academy player Dan Bentley. Arsenal aims to bring Bentley in as a replacement for Aaron Ramsdale.

Aaron Ramsdale is planning to leave Emirates Stadium in search of regular first-team opportunities. Last season, due to the performance of David Raya, who was on loan from Brentford, Ramsdale only managed to play in 11 matches. David Raya signed a long-term contract with Arsenal earlier this month, further reducing Ramsdale’s chances of being the first-choice goalkeeper if he stays.

Although there is no concrete transfer offer for Ramsdale yet, the club is preparing to replace the 26-year-old goalkeeper. According to Football Insider, Arsenal is working to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Dan Bentley. Bentley, a graduate of Arsenal’s academy, is being considered as a replacement for Ramsdale. Arsenal’s initial bid was rejected, but they are expected to come back with an improved offer.

Wolverhampton’s manager Gary O’Neil is reluctant to let Bentley go this summer, especially with the uncertainty surrounding their current first-choice goalkeeper Jose Sa. However, Arsenal’s goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana, who has a prior relationship with Bentley, is reportedly very keen on this transfer.
