Ashley Young’s Son Makes Professional Debut at 18

Ashley Young of Everton is having a happy family moment because this week his son Tyler Young made his professional debut for Peterborough United. Tyler, 18, entered the game as a substitute in Tuesday’s EFL Cup victory over Stevenage by Peterborough, winning 2-0.

This is an incredible accomplishment, especially in light of Ashley Young’s 39-year-old status as an Everton player still competing in the Premier League. Manager Darren Ferguson, who signed Ashley Young for Manchester United in 2011, brought Tyler on board. Ferguson is the son of the late Sir Alex Ferguson. While at Old Trafford, Young Sr. made 261 appearances for the Red Devils.
