Barcelona in Pursuit of Malaga’s 17-Year-Old Talent Antonito

Following his stellar exploits in the Segunda Division, Barcelona has set their sights on Antonio Cordero, also known as Antonito, a rising star for Malaga’s B club.

By first assigning Antonito to their B squad, Barca Atletic, the Catalan club intends to expand their pool of youthful talent and give him a route to possible first-team football. Barcelona see Antonito as a potential signing for the left wing given Ansu Fati’s continuous form and fitness issues.

With three goals and three assists in just 660 minutes in 12 appearances, Antonito, a fixture for Spain’s U19 team, has made an impression in the Segunda Division. Barcelona is more interested in acquiring the teenage forward now that his contract with Malaga is set to expire next summer.
