Barrichello: “A season where you turn on the TV and don’t know who’s going to win is worth watching”

Rubens Barrichello spoke about the 2024 Formula 1 season.

Former Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello answered questions about the current Formula 1 season.

When asked what he thought about the 2024 season and the rivalry between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, the Brazilian replied:

“I think it’s a much more exciting year than last year. It’s definitely worth watching a season where you turn on the TV and you don’t know who’s going to win.”

“The impact on the fans is obvious. I heard there were over 400,000 in Mexico. And to be honest, I have never seen Interlagos that full on a Friday.”

“It’s all about good racing. McLaren is taking points from Ferrari, Ferrari is taking points from McLaren and that helps Verstappen and Red Bull. But overall, I’m really excited to see a lot of different cars winning races.”

Asked whether the Dutch driver’s experience of competing for his fourth title gave him an advantage in the battle between Verstappen and Norris, Barrichello said:

“It all depends on your mental state. Because experience is everything if you are at peace with yourself.”
