The first candidate Beşiktaş is considering for the right-wing position is 19-year-old Brazilian Angelo Gabriel. While an agreement has been reached with Chelsea for a loan deal, technical director Enzo Maresca’s indecision on whether to keep the player, along with disagreements over the purchase option, has delayed the transfer.
Should the Angelo Gabriel transfer fall through, Beşiktaş has a backup plan in place. The second name on their list is 31-year-old Portuguese winger Joao Mario from Benfica. If the deal for Angelo doesn’t materialize, Beşiktaş will shift their focus to securing Joao Mario.
