Besiktas Club Vice President Huseyin Yucel stated that their grudge against referee Arda Kardesler from the match they lost 2-1 to Galatasaray has not subsided. He said, “The TFF President is aware of how events unfolded and has promised that necessary actions will be taken. We will pursue this to the end. I trust the TFF.”
In an interview with “Gundem Besiktas,” Yucel mentioned their discussions with TFF President Ibrahim Hacıosmanoglu regarding the referee’s performance in the match against Galatasaray. He expressed, “We had a very poor match against Galatasaray. The referee’s management was a disaster. Our issues did not end there. At the end of the match, there was a small scuffle involving our brother Sezgin (Gunler), which led to him being taken inside. We haven’t been sleeping for the last 2-3 days, but we received good news. Our brother Sezgin will be tried without detention. Our grudge against Arda Kardesler has not passed. It was a referee management that completely affected the match. Right now, the entire community is united. Despite everything, we must look forward.”
MEETING IN ANKARA REGARDING THE MATCH
Yucel continued: “We met with TFF President Ibrahim Hacıosmanoglu in Ankara. We discussed the Galatasaray match. He is aware of how events unfolded and promised that necessary actions will be taken. There were reports that Arda Kardesler would not officiate until the end of the first half, but that is not enough; we will pursue this to the end. I trust the TFF.”
Additionally, Besiktas continued preparations for their match against Kasımpasa yesterday. The training session started with warm-up runs, passing drills, and a 5v2 exercise, concluding with small-sided games.
