Beşiktaş’s Opponent Bodo/Glimt Secures Victory with 10 Men

In the first match of the 2024/2025 UEFA Europa League season, Beşiktaş’s opponent Bodo/Glimt hosted Porto and secured a 3-2 victory.

In their opening game of the UEFA Europa League, Bodo/Glimt, one of Beşiktaş’s group rivals, faced Portuguese side Porto at home.

The match ended 3-2 in favor of Bodo/Glimt. Porto took an early lead with a goal from Omorodion in the 8th minute. However, Bodo/Glimt responded quickly with goals from Hogh in the 15th minute and Hauge in the 40th minute to take the lead.

Bodo/Glimt went down to 10 men in the 51st minute after Maatta was shown a red card. Despite being a man down, Hauge scored again in the 62nd minute to make it 3-1. Porto’s final goal came from Deniz Gül in the 90th minute, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Bodo/Glimt from claiming the win.

With this result, Bodo/Glimt started the tournament with 3 points.

In their next UEFA Europa League match, Bodo/Glimt will face Union Saint-Gilloise away, while Porto will host Manchester United.
