Bodrum FK’s forward Gokdeniz Bayrakdar has recovered from his injury and is ready to play ahead of their match against Fenerbahce after being sidelined for three weeks.
Bodrum FK head coach Ismet Tasdemir stated that they will be facing a major club for the first time, saying, “We are facing one of our four big clubs for the first time. They have a rich history of championships and are a very large community. They have a very talented and high-quality team. We respect them; they have truly important players. We are continuing our preparations according to our own plan.” Bodrum FK will play away against Fenerbahce in the 10th week of the Süper Lig on Sunday. The green-white team is excited to face their strong opponent for the first time.
Before the training session, Ismet Tasdemir and key player Gokdeniz Bayrakdar spoke to the press. Tasdemir mentioned that both Gokdeniz and Cenk have recovered from their injuries, and Seferi has completed his suspension. Reflecting on the last-minute loss to Caykur Rizespor at home, he said, “We played well until the goal we conceded against Rizespor. It didn’t feel right to disrupt the flow of a team that was playing well. We ended the match with a defeat without giving clear chances. We are sorry for that, but the league doesn’t end here; it continues.”
Before the Fenerbahce match, Tasdemir added, “The player capacity of our team is clear. We are trying to get maximum performance from our players, and we do this for every match. We will showcase our maximum performance against Fenerbahce.”
Gokdeniz Ready
Gokdeniz Bayrakdar, who was part of the championship-winning team in the first league last season but missed recent matches due to an appendicitis surgery, is now fit before the Fenerbahce encounter. Gokdeniz stated, “I had a three-week injury period, and I am happy to be back. I hope to contribute to my team. If the coach gives me the chance, I will be happy to be in the squad for the Fenerbahce match. I hope we return to Bodrum with the result we want from the Fenerbahce match. I think I have trained well during my recovery from the new injury. I have some shortcomings, but I believe I will be even more ready in the coming weeks.”
