Bulent Uygun’s Controversial Statements After Sivasspor’s Victory

Net Global Sivasspor defeated Adana Demirspor 4-2 at home in a match where head coach Bulent Uygun expressed his grievances towards the fans, leading to a stir on social media with his comments and gestures.

In the 10th week of the Super Lig, Sivasspor managed to come back from a 2-0 deficit against Adana Demirspor, securing victory with goals in the second half. Following this high-scoring match, Uygun’s remarks attracted attention.

In a post-match interview, Uygun addressed the fans who insulted him, saying: “It was unbecoming for us to concede simple goals from a place we work hard at, but my players really showed a great recovery. We fell into a moment of distraction and went down 2-0. It was very disappointing for us. Meanwhile, those who insulted my mother and wife on social media after we were down 2-0… We won 4-2 with tactical changes. We are happy.”

During the press conference after the match, Bulent Uygun elaborated on the situation, stating, “Inevitably, Adana Demirspor players are also facing issues. You saw the audience throughout the 90 minutes. They did everything to keep the team motivated until the end. The two goals we conceded demoralized us. In terms of gameplay, we tried to change our system. It was not fitting for us to concede simple goals from where we should not be. My players displayed a tremendous comeback.”

After evaluating the match, Uygun also reacted to those insulting on social media, saying, “Additionally, there are some things I want to say. We will look into those friends who insult on social media.”
