Can Oncu is hopeful for 2025 after the first test with Yamaha!

Our representative Can Oncu says that he is very happy after his first test with Yamaha.

Our representative Can Oncu, competing in the World Supersport Championship, has made the decision to move from Puccetti Kawasaki to Yamaha Team Evan Bros for 2025.

Our representative, who is only 21 years old but extremely experienced, has been racing with Kawasaki since 2020.

Can, who finally made the decision to move to Yamaha with his manager Kenan Sofuoğlu, spoke to Speedweek.

Can said: “Five years flew by.”

“There are many podiums and many great memories left. But it was time to change things. It’s really emotional because we’ve lived so many great moments together.”

“Still, the first test with my Yamaha R9 went perfectly.”

“I am very happy with the bike and the team. I can’t wait to get back on the bike. Hopefully next year will be our year.”

Team boss Fabio Evangelista also spoke positively about Can.

Evangelista joked, “We want to be in the top three with him. Otherwise, we will have trouble with Kenan Sofuoğlu.”

He continued: “I see Manzi and Ottl as favourites for the title, but I also think Can can aim high.”
