37-Year-Old Fabregas Brings Former Teammate Pepe Reina to Como as Head Coach
As Como 1907 prepares for the new season in Serie A, they have appointed Cesc Fabregas as their head coach and announced the signing of goalkeeper Pepe Reina. The 37-year-old Fabregas has brought his former Spain national team teammate, 41-year-old Pepe Reina, to the Italian club.
Fabregas’ First Coaching Experience
Fabregas, who retired from playing at Como, is now preparing for his first managerial experience with the Italian team. After 21 years, Como is set to compete in Serie A, aiming to establish themselves in the league and make a significant impact in Italy with the help of their new investors.
Pepe Reina Transfer
Under the leadership of Fabregas, Como has secured the experienced goalkeeper Pepe Reina, adding both a seasoned shot-stopper and a player with leadership qualities to their squad. Although Reina appeared in 12 matches for Villarreal last season and was expected to retire, it is unclear whether he will be a first-choice goalkeeper at Como. However, his extensive experience with Napoli, Milan, and Lazio will undoubtedly benefit the team.
