After 3 laps, Carlos Sainz experienced the same thing in the 8th turn, but the Ferrari driver had to withdraw from the race. After the incident, a security vehicle came out.
In the 42nd lap, the safety car entered the track and the race started again. While Verstappen took the lead from Ocon, Norris overflowed off the track and fell to 7th place. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso also spilled off the track, causing short-term yellow flags.
Piastri, who was driving 6th ahead of Norris, received an order to change position from the team. Thus, the British pilot went up one place.
Charles Leclerc was noted for carrying off the track and returning to the track unsafely.
In the 55th lap, Lawson attacked Perez and took 9th place. Hamilton wasted no time for the attack after Perez lost momentum and completed the transition. Thus, Perez has been relegated to the 11th place.
In the remaining laps, Verstappen expanded his lead by taking the fastest lap and finished the race 19.2 seconds ahead of Esteban Ocon, who was in 2nd place.
Another Alpine pilot, Pierre Gasly, completed the podium, followed by George Russell.
