With Ajax allegedly ready to negotiate a three-year contract for the Manchester United midfielder when his contract expires next summer, Christian Eriksen might have the chance to complete his career where it all started. The Sun claims that Eriksen is poised to quit United, which would generate interest from teams all over, especially Saudi Arabian and MLS ones. Ajax is thought to be spearheading the hunt for his signature, though.

Said to be interesting to the 32-year-old is the possibility of a “fairytale return” to Ajax, where Eriksen began his professional career. By closing a deal with Eriksen in the new year, Ajax hopes to enable him to join the club when his Manchester United contract expires.

Eriksen has been a major contributor for United lately, appearing in six of their last seven games and scoring three goals and three assists across all competitions, despite continuous conjecture on his future.
