Besiktas’s striker Ciro Immobile expressed frustration over Galatasaray’s aggressive playstyle in their recent derby. The Italian star commented, “We dominated the game and gave everything we had in terms of football. Our opponents were desperate, resorting to stopping us with kicks.”
In his professional career, this was only the second match, and first since a Juventus game 11 years ago, where Immobile went 90 minutes without a shot or touch in the opposition’s box. Reflecting on the game, he stated, “This was the most foul-ridden game I’ve ever played. We created opportunities, gave it our all, and Galatasaray could only stop us with physical play.”
Support for Semih Kılıcsoy
Immobile also voiced support for his teammate Semih Kılıcsoy, praising his efforts: “He created significant chances in the first half, fought hard for the team, and fully fulfilled his role. He was close to scoring in the first half.”
