Ciro Immobile on the field for Besiktas in Kayseri
Van Bronckhorst, who gave young Mustafa a chance as the striker in the away game against Ajax but was not satisfied, will make changes in the forward position.
After a 4-0 defeat to Ajax in the Europa League, Besiktas coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst harshly warned his players ahead of tomorrow’s Kayseri away match. The Dutch coach, who held a meeting with sporting director Samet Aybaba and football director Feyyaz Ucar, stated, “We had a chance to see the situation of some players we expected a lot from in the Ajax match. I gave the whole team a stern warning. Losing is part of football, but poor play is unacceptable. I believe the team will perform much better in the Kayseri away game.”
On the other hand, Van Bronckhorst, who played young Mustafa as the striker in the Ajax match but substituted him at halftime, will start Ciro Immobile in the first 11 in Kayseri. The coach, who did not get the desired performance from his rotation moves in the match in the Netherlands, is expected to field the same squad as in the Eyup match, except for the injured El Musrati.
