Colapinto Explains Why He Ignored Brundle at the U.S. GP

Franco Colapinto clarified why he overlooked Martin Brundle during the recent United States GP weekend.

While in Austin, Colapinto passed by Brundle, who was attempting to interview him, without stopping. When asked about the incident, Colapinto mentioned that he wanted to focus before the race and didn’t have time for a conversation.

In a statement before the Mexico City Grand Prix, the Williams driver said, “Actually, there’s not much to talk about.”

“I talked with Williams as well; I don’t have much experience in this regard.”

“Martin is truly an amazing person with a significant history in the sport,” he added.

Colapinto Discusses Focus Before the Race

“Before the race, everyone wants to do interviews, but I’m really focused on the race at that moment,” Colapinto explained. “It wasn’t really a great time to speak to the camera; on top of that, I was running late for the national anthem.”

“I enjoy talking when I’m done and out of the car, but on my way to the race, I try to dedicate myself a bit more to the competition.”
