Altay’s 43-year-old striker Murat Uluç has scored against Sincan Belediyesi Ankaraspor, claiming the title of the oldest player to score in the TFF 2nd League.
In their second-week match, Altay faced Sincan Belediyesi Ankaraspor. The İzmir team won the game 1-0 thanks to a goal from Murat Uluç in the 84th minute. As Altay celebrated their first victory of the season, Uluç set a new record as the oldest player to score in the TFF 2nd League, achieving double happiness.
Record in the Turkish Cup
Last season, in the Turkish Cup, Altay played against Kırklarelispor on December 6, 2023. Although İzmir lost the match 3-2, Murat Uluç made history. At 42 years, 6 months, and 21 days, Uluç became the oldest player to appear in a Turkish Cup match and also holds the record for the oldest player to score in the competition.

In the TFF 1st League last season, Altay faced Giresunspor on February 23, 2024. The İzmir team won 1-0, with the only goal scored by Murat Uluç.
