Ahmet Cakar Commented on Galatasaray’s Win

He highlighted Galatasaray’s comfortable win, comparing it to Fenerbahçe’s similar dominance, and suggested that Anadolu teams will struggle against Turkey’s “Big Three” this season, indicating a widening gap in quality.

Çakar remarked on Rizespor’s lackluster performance, stating, “Was there even a Rizespor team on the field?” He praised Galatasaray’s player Sara, who, with two assists and a goal, started to establish himself as an important figure. Despite Victor Osimhen not scoring in the match, Çakar believes his movement, dribbling, and constant threat in the box show that he will be highly beneficial for the team, predicting he could score several goals in future matches.

While Jakobs showed solid defensive abilities, Çakar noted that more games are needed to assess his offensive capabilities, explaining why Galatasaray relied on Barış Alper for their right-wing attacks.

Finally, Çakar touched on the fans’ frustration with a perceived lack of transfers, suggesting they may be overreacting. However, he did acknowledge the team’s issues on the left flank, although he believes these problems are solvable. On officiating, Çakar criticized a decision where Lucas Torreira appeared to foul an opponent but instead won a free kick, noting that careful review shows it could have been a penalty against Galatasaray.
