Arda Güler Stuns Modric with His Performance

A report by Spanish newspaper MARCA featuring Arda Güler and Luka Modric has made headlines, creating quite a stir.

In Real Madrid’s 3-0 home victory against Real Valladolid, Arda Güler started in the lineup and played 68 minutes, once again becoming one of the most talked-about players.

After the match, Real Madrid’s coach Carlo Ancelotti explained his decision to start Arda over Brahim Díaz following Bellingham’s injury. Ancelotti stated, “I was torn between starting with Arda or Brahim, but since we were playing at home, I felt starting with Arda would benefit him more. He had a good game.”

MARCA: “Arda Güler Takes Modric’s Spot”

According to a report from Skorer, MARCA praised Arda Güler’s performance against Valladolid: “A major change in the starting lineup. The Turk has moved ahead of Modric. While on the pitch, set-pieces were his domain. Though initially pressured by Pezzolano’s defensive setup, the Turk managed to break free as the game progressed.

His most notable first-half contribution was catching Mbappe offside. He missed a chance to make it 2-0 after a good pass from Vincius. His arrival in the box was a display of great skill.”

Real Madrid’s 18-year-old Endrick, who recently scored and made headlines, is among the club’s youngest scorers, with Arda Güler also ranking in the top 10.

In the recent match against Real Valladolid, Endrick, who came on in the final four minutes, secured second place behind former Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor player José Rodriguez in the youngest scorers list. Arda, however, dropped to 8th place with the arrival of his teammate but remained within the top 10.
