After achieving their first victory by beating Iceland 3-1 in the previous match, the head coach of the Turkish National Team, Vincenzo Montella, made five changes to the starting lineup against Montenegro, two of which were forced due to injuries. Montella replaced injured goalkeeper Mert Gunok and Ismail Yuksek, along with Eren Elmalı, Irfan Can Kahveci, and Umut Nayir, giving opportunities to Ferdi Kadıoglu, Yunus Akgun, Orkun Kokcu, Baris Alper Yilmaz, and goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

Montenegro’s head coach, Robert Prosinecki, made four changes to his lineup compared to the 2-1 loss against Wales. He substituted goalkeeper Milan Mijatovic, Slobodan Rubezic, Milos Brnovic, and Stefan Mugosa with goalkeeper Igor Nikic, Igor Vujacic, Marko Bakic, and Nikola Krstovic.

Samsun hosted the Turkish National Team once again after a year, as they faced Montenegro in the third match of UEFA Nations League B Group 4.
At the Yeni 19 Mayis Stadium, which has a capacity of 33,919 spectators, football fans from Samsun consumed their allocated tickets within an hour. Turkish flags were distributed to all fans in the stadium.
TURKISH FLAG WAS UNFURLED
Fans invited the Turkish National Team players to the stands one by one, applauding them. A total of 1,550 personnel, including 50 private security and 1,000 official security staff, ensured safety at the stadium. The stadium was full, and a small number of Montenegro fans also followed the match alongside the Samsun supporters.
Football fans were thrilled by the military march “Ceddin Deden” played in the stadium. The people of Samsun unfurled a large Turkish flag in the marathon stand.
ARDA GULER’S AMAZING DRIBBLE
Our star player from Real Madrid, Arda Guler, started the match with great enthusiasm, making several shot attempts and delivering effective crosses, putting Montenegro’s Marko Bakic in a tough spot.
In the 38th minute, as Arda entered the penalty area from the left diagonal, he skillfully maneuvered past Marko Bakic, sending him first to the left and then to the right. Marko Bakic, unable to withstand Arda Guler’s elegant dribbling, found himself on the ground, while Orkun Kökcu failed to connect with the ball sent across the six-yard box by Arda.
