Arne Slot Highlights Curtis Jones’ Improved Form at Liverpool After Becoming a Father
Arne Slot, the manager of Liverpool, has noted that Curtis Jones, a midfielder, has really improved “since he became a dad.” After giving birth to his first kid last month, the 23-year-old has since put on impressive performances, such as winning man-of-the-match in Liverpool’s victory over Chelsea.
In an amusing admission to reporters, Slot blamed Jones’ recent life transition for the midfielder’s renewed spark rather than himself.
“With Curtis, I may not have done it, but I had nothing to do with him becoming a father! You never know if that’s a factor or not, but he started performing well as soon as he became a father.”
Slot added that Jones had shown glimpses of his potential during preseason training and had originally impressed. But after becoming a dad, his shape declined before rising sharply.
“I thought he was a great player throughout the preseason, but his performances declined after that. He has once again been exceptional since becoming a father. It may be related to that, but generally speaking, it also shows how the team is performing.” Slot continued.
