Caitlin Clark Sets WNBA Record for Fastest to 300 Assists in Indiana Fever’s Overtime Victory

Caitlin Clark Becomes Fastest WNBA Player to Reach 300 Assists in Indiana Fever’s Overtime Victory

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark reached another WNBA milestone on Sunday, becoming the fastest player in league history to record 300 career assists during her team’s 104-100 overtime win against the Atlanta Dream.

The 22-year-old posted an impressive stat line, scoring 26 points, dishing out 12 assists, and grabbing five rebounds, marking her 14th double-double of the season—a new franchise record. Clark also added four three-pointers, bringing her season total to 111 and extending her rookie record, which she set in August.

Clark’s standout performance came on a night where the last three WNBA No. 1 draft picks shone. Aliyah Boston, the 2023 No. 1 overall pick, led the Fever with a career-high 30 points and 13 rebounds, while the Dream’s 2022 top pick, Rhyne Howard, erupted for 36 points.

Despite struggling at times and committing 12 turnovers by halftime, Indiana clawed back from a 16-point deficit in the third quarter, producing an 18-5 run to end the period, cutting Atlanta’s lead to three entering the fourth.
