This summer, Dario Saric signed with the Denver Nuggets and shared his thoughts on his new teammate, Nikola Jokic.
The Croatian big man, who has been in the NBA for several years, parted ways with the Golden State Warriors during the offseason. The 30-year-old player then reached an agreement with the reigning NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, where he will team up with two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
As he traveled to the U.S. to prepare for the new season, Saric spoke about the prospect of playing alongside Jokic, calling it an “incredible” opportunity:
“Playing with Nikola Jokic is going to be incredible. We’re talking about a player who’s been MVP three times and won an NBA championship. It’s an honor to be his teammate. It’s amazing to see someone from our region come to the NBA and achieve so much. Jokic and I talk often, and even before when we were set to play against Denver, we would hang out. He’s a great friend of mine.”
Last season, Dario Saric played in 64 games for the Golden State Warriors, averaging 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
