Davis Bertans makes EuroLeague Final Four predictions, sees Zalgiris there
Davis Bertans predicts Zalgiris, Fenerbahce, Real, and his former team Partizan will reach the 2025 EuroLeague Final Four.Dubai BC forward Davis Bertans shared his predictions for the 2025 EuroLeague Final Four, throwing out a few surprises along the way.
Bertans thinks Zalgiris Kaunas, who currently top the league with a 6-1 record, will make it to the Final Four. Joining them, he believes, will be Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (5-2), currently tied for second, Real Madrid (despite sitting in 11th with a 3-4 record), and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade (2-5), his former team from 2012 to 2014.
“It’s very difficult to predict anything in the EuroLeague. Looking at the beginning of the season, not only in terms of results, there are some teams that I would single out. Of course, one is Partizan,” Bertans told Telesport. “Zalgiris with a great start to the season. There is also Fenerbahce. In the end, I will say Real Madrid. Somehow, they always find a way to reach the Final Four.”
Bertans last played in the EuroLeague with Baskonia in 2015-16 before heading to the NBA. Over his five seasons in the strongest European league, he suited up for Olimpija Ljubljana, Partizan, and Baskonia.
This past summer, the Latvian star returned from the NBA to sign with Dubai BC, a new project in the region. While he comes back with plenty of experience, he admits he hasn’t been closely following the Old Continent basketball over the years.
“I didn’t really have much time to follow European basketball,” he said. “Time zone difference, family obligations. I didn’t follow much. It took me a while to adjust. There are a lot of new faces that I haven’t played against for a long time or at all.”
