Notwithstanding fresh training footage showing Martin Odegaard, Arsenal supporters may want to temper their expectations surrounding his injury comeback. Stale Solbakken, the manager of the Norwegian national team, has provided a less encouraging report regarding the midfielder’s recuperation.
The 25-year-old hasn’t played since sustaining an ankle injury during Norway’s Nations League match against Austria last month. Even though Odegaard stated that his injury is healing “better” than anticipated, Solbakken thinks it will take some time before he is prepared to return to the field.
An Update on Odegaard from Solbakken
“There is great progress in terms of pain and injury, but he [Odegaard] is still a long way from playing matches. I don’t think anyone knows for sure when Odegaard will return, not even me. Arsenal is currently in charge of his recuperation.”
