Father Perez’s harsh response to Ralf Schumacher
Sergio Perez’s position at Red Bull has often been criticised due to his performance in the 2024 season.
This situation has recently led to rumours that the Mexican pilot will be let go from Red Bull at the end of the season, or even before the end of the season, despite his contract continuing.
One of the people who spoke on this subject was Ralf Schumacher, brother of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.
Speaking after the Mexican Grand Prix, Ralf said Perez will not be able to drive ‘even a single metre’ of the RB21 car in 2025 and that he will even be dismissed from the team before the season is over.
Sergio Perez’s father, Antonio Perez, broke his silence on the subject and spoke very harshly about Ralf Schumacher.
“Some media outlets said that Checo will no longer race in Formula 1 in Mexico and that he will say goodbye to the sport here. They should apologise for saying something like that,” said Antonio Perez.
“A former Formula 1 racer who is now a journalist first announced that Checo would be leaving Red Bull, then a few weeks later he claimed that he was gay. Maybe he’s in love with Checo!”
“There are many strange situations. It is not clear whether this person is a journalist, a woman or a man, so what he says is suspicious. This suspicion does not come from Checo, but from his wife and what she said.”
“I am not Lawrence Stroll, I do not have the money to buy a Formula 1 team for my son and we do not have the capital to be present in this area.”
“If Checo is there now, it is entirely due to his own success. He got there through his own efforts and the position he is in is entirely his own success.”
“Everyone knows that in sports, you need sponsors, you need the support of your country, and right now Checo is the most famous person in Mexico. He has created a revolution in the world and in Latin America. Everyone else has to deserve the position they are in,” he said.
