Fenerbahce’s Fred expressed that leaving Manchester United was a difficult experience for him. The Brazilian midfielder stated that this season, their goal is to win the league title, saying, “We collected 99 points but couldn’t win. Of course, we are disappointed. This season, we must absolutely secure the championship.” Fred spoke to the Daily Mail ahead of Fenerbahce’s UEFA Europa League match against Manchester United tonight.
Regarding his departure from Manchester United, Fred said, “It was tough to leave because we had already adapted to life in Manchester, and my wife was pregnant. But that’s football, and Fenerbahce has shown me a lot of support.”

Fred also compared Turkish fans to those in Brazil, stating, “Fans in Turkey are as passionate as those in Brazil. They’re crazy.”
