Gold medal from Umut Ünlü! National athlete wins gold medal
Turkey achieved great success in theswimming branch at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. National athlete Umut Ünlü won the gold medal in the men’s 50-meter freestyle S3 class.
In the swimming races held at Paris La Defense Arena, Umut reached the final in the 50-meter freestyle S3 class.
The national athlete won the gold medal with a time of 44.83 and made Turkish sports history. Umut Ünlü’s success was the first gold medal in Turkish swimming history in the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Denys Ostapchenko from Ukraine won the silver medal and Alexander Tim Josia Topf from Germany won the bronze medal.
