Jordan: Norris doesn’t have what it takes to be a champion
Former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan believes Lando Norris is not yet at the point where he can become a world champion.
Max Verstappen increased his points gap with Lando Norris in the championship to 62 points with his victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he started from 17th place
Championship rival Norris started the race from pole position but lost the lead at the first corner.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Formula for Success podcast, Eddie Jordan explained why Norris is currently behind Verstappen.
“Lando’s not there yet,” Jordan said.
“He’s a driver with the pace, no doubt, but I don’t see in Lando what we saw in Max on Sunday.”
“So Lando has to look in the mirror this winter and tell himself, ‘If I’m going to be a world champion, I have a lot to learn. I have to learn to be more competitive and tough.'”
“I’m sorry but right now Lando doesn’t have what it takes to win the championship,” he said.
