Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho made strong statements following their 3-1 defeat to Galatasaray in the derby.
Highlighting that his team started the game at a high tempo, the Portuguese coach had this to say:
‘It might sound stupid, but…’ “We started fast, we dominated, but it doesn’t matter. After 3-1, we took all the risks, but that doesn’t matter either.
It doesn’t matter how many chances we missed. We only scored from the penalty spot. They won because they scored more goals than us.

On Amrabat and En-Nesyri “This is football. Amrabat had a great second half, played wonderfully as a false centre-back. He brought the fluidity we were missing in the first half. Irfan and En-Nesyri did their best.
En-Nesyri had his chances but couldn’t convert. I can’t accept blaming the substitutes. The opponent scored from two throw-ins; that’s not their fault, it’s ours.”
