Star Julio Enciso of Brighton & Hove Albion has revealed a terrifying incident he went through on his travel to South America in order to join the Paraguay national squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers. Set to play against Ecuador on Wednesday, Enciso confessed he passed out on the plane and worried about his life during the journey.
Enciso clarified that he had felt weak during the travel since he had not been sleeping or eating properly. He abruptly passed out after trying to use the loo and was saved by another passenger who gave him drinks, therefore enabling his recovery.
WHAT ENCISO SAID
Speaking with Del Paraguay, Enciso related the episode:
“My head hurts. On the plane, I passed out almost dead. I ate poorly and slept poorly; I was helpless. I felt like I was falling when I got up to use the bathroom. A man grabbed me and led me front-stage. He did me well by making me drink coke and a Japanese soup.“
Enciso’s struggle coincides with Paraguay getting ready for vital 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Ecuador. Since 2010 Paraguay has not qualified for the event; hence, Enciso will be trying to support the team despite the fear.
