Despite the rising performance of Ferrari, which has led to championship hopes being expressed, Charles Leclerc emphasized the need for a more cautious approach.
Leclerc stated that even though Ferrari has seen a performance increase recently, realistic expectations regarding the championship must be maintained.
He pointed out that the victories and podium results at Monza are specific to certain tracks and warned against the risks of false expectations.
Leclerc said: “Even if we perform well for the rest of the season, the drivers’ championship will be difficult.”
“We have raced on very specific tracks that have shown us in a good light since Monza, and I hope this image continues after Singapore. However, I expect McLaren and Red Bull to return to their normal performance levels, which will make our job a bit harder.”
“I always focus on each race; we should not fall into the trap of wrong expectations.”
