Manchester United’s Europa League Preparations Disrupted by Travel Chaos

Travel mayhem on Wednesday threw Manchester United’s preparations for their vital Europa League match against Porto into disarray. Strong storms, including dense fog and heavy rain, caused the Red Devils to postpone their leaving from Manchester, therefore influencing their pre-match preparations.

The Mirror claims that Erik ten Hag’s team was supposed to leave Manchester at three-pm but was delayed by more than three hours before leaving around six-10pm. Ten Hag’s intended 7pm press conference at the Estadio do Dragão was postponed by 90 minutes as the squad was three hours past its scheduled arrival in Portugal.

Manchester United drew 1-1 against Dutch team Twente in their opening Europa League group stage game, hence their campaign depends much on their result versus Porto. To add to the strain, United wants to recover from a dismal 3-0 Premier League loss to Tottenham. In Portugal, a triumph for the Red Devils would not only mark their first triumph in the tournament but also assist a side now trying to get back on form have confidence.

The Red Devils will be keen to concentrate on their on-field performance in spite of the disturbance and put the travel turmoil behind them behind them as they strive for a vital Europa League win.
