By scoring his 61st goal for the club, Icardi matched Milan Baros’ record, making him the second-highest foreign goalscorer in Galatasaray’s history.

Okan Buruk makes 3 forced changes
Coach Okan Buruk had to make three changes to his starting lineup compared to their last Super Lig match against Antalyaspor. Muslera was unavailable due to suspension, Jakobs was injured, and Sallai was not on the UEFA list, so Buruk replaced them with Gunay Guvenc, Baris Alper Yilmaz, and Victor Osimhen.

Icardi-Osimhen duo starts again
Icardi and Osimhen started together for the second time this season, having also started in the Super Lig match against Kasimpasa.

UEFA President attends
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin watched the match, joined by TFF President Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu. Ceferin was greeted at RAMS Park by Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek.
