Premier League Player in His 30s Under Investigation Over New Rape Allegations

Police are reportedly looking into claims of sexual assault against a 30-year-old Premier League footballer who was arrested in 2023.

The athlete is currently being investigated for two charges of alleged rape and a third sexual offense involving another woman. He was first arrested in July 2022 after police visited his residence in west London. Since the first rumors surfaced, he has kept playing for his team in spite of these accusations.

Police Statement

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated:

“Met officers are investigating following a number of reports of alleged sexual offences between 2021 and 2023. A man in his 30s was arrested in July 2022. He has since been interviewed by police on two further occasions under caution. The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives are conducting detailed inquiries. Those who have come forward continue to receive support from Met officers.”
