“PSG Targets Viktor Gyökeres to Replace Kylian Mbappe”

PSG Targets Viktor Gyökeres to Fill Kylian Mbappe’s Void

Following Kylian Mbappe’s departure from Paris Saint-Germain, the French giant is continuing its efforts to find an ideal replacement. Despite numerous names being considered, PSG has yet to take concrete action. This summer transfer window, PSG aims to strengthen its squad with a new target.

Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen were among the targets, but transfer negotiations have not progressed favorably. Napoli’s new head coach Antonio Conte has made it clear that he wants to keep Kvaratskhelia in the team.

Gyökeres as Mbappe’s Replacement

According to Corriere dello Sport, PSG’s chances of securing Victor Osimhen are diminishing, and the French club is now interested in 26-year-old Swedish forward Viktor Gyökeres, who plays for Sporting Lisbon. Due to Osimhen’s €130 million release clause, PSG is considering signing Gyökeres for €100 million.

Gyökeres has drawn attention with his impressive performance, scoring 41 goals and providing 15 assists in 47 matches for Sporting Portugal. Having earned 20 caps for the Swedish national team and scored 6 goals, Gyökeres will see PSG competing with Arsenal for his transfer.
