Real Madrid Endures Worst EuroLeague Start in Club History!
This season has been a challenging one for Real Madrid, with the team struggling to find its footing in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
In the 10th round of the competition, Real Madrid suffered a home loss to Anadolu Efes, marking their sixth defeat of the season. This result pushed the Spanish giants out of the Play-In zone and into uncharted negative territory.
For the first time in their illustrious history, Real Madrid has recorded six losses in the first ten games of a EuroLeague season. Previously, their worst start had been five wins and five losses.
Last season, Real Madrid lost only seven games throughout the entire regular season. However, the team has already reached six defeats by November this year, a stark contrast to the 2022–23 campaign when they hit the same number of losses on March 7.
Domestic Struggles Persist
Real Madrid’s struggles extend to the Spanish Liga Endesa as well. With five wins in their first seven games, Chus Mateo’s side trails behind Unicaja and Tenerife in the early race for league supremacy.
This poor start has placed significant pressure on the reigning EuroLeague champions, who now face a tough road to reclaim their position as a dominant force in European basketball.
