Real Madrid’s Tribute to Retired Iniesta

Real Madrid shared a farewell message for Andres Iniesta, who has announced his retirement. The post stated, “Real Madrid wishes him and his entire family success in this new phase of his life.”

Spanish football legend Andres Iniesta retired at the age of 40. Following his announcement, Real Madrid expressed their sentiments with a tribute.

In a statement on their website, Real Madrid expressed, “The president and board of Real Madrid want to show their appreciation, admiration, and love for one of the greatest legends of Spanish and world football.”

The statement continued, “Andres Iniesta contributed to the growth of football and its values beyond the countless championships he won during his career. The iconic goal he scored in the final of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa will remain in the memories of all Spanish fans forever. Real Madrid wishes him and his entire family success in this new phase of life.”

ANDRES INIESTA’S CAREER
Andres Iniesta began his football journey in the youth system of Albacete before transferring to Barcelona in 1996. He made his first-team debut in 2002. Iniesta spent 16 seasons with Barcelona’s first team before leaving in 2018 to join Vissel Kobe. Last season, he played for Emirates Club in the United Arab Emirates.

Throughout his career, Iniesta made 885 appearances, scoring 93 goals and providing 161 assists. He won a total of 38 trophies during his career.
