Red Bull May Change Its Sister Team’s Name Again
It has been claimed that Red Bull will change the name of its sister team, Visa Cash App RB, once again.
Red Bull’s Italy-based sister team is expected to continue its naming changes into the next season. Known as Toro Rosso for 14 years, the team rebranded to AlphaTauri in 2020 to promote the team’s fashion brand. Before this season, with the contributions of two major sponsors, the team adopted the complex name Visa Cash App RB, or VCARB for short.
However, according to a report by Formula.hu, it is claimed that the team will be referred to as Racing Bulls in 2025, using a name after AlphaTauri. This new name not only simplifies pronunciation but also gives the team a more distinct identity.
When the team was announced as VCARB at the beginning of 2024, many F1 fans criticized the name, arguing it was not a suitable choice. It seems the team has taken this criticism into account.
The change will not affect the agreements with Visa and Cash App, but it appears that the logos on the car will be less prominent next season. Instead, the size of the main bull logo is expected to be enlarged. The team’s driver lineup remains uncertain. While Yuki Tsunoda has been confirmed for 2025, he could replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull for the upcoming season, leaving both Racing Bull seats open.
If Tsunoda stays, Liam Lawson, Franco Colapinto, and Isack Hadjar are among the names being considered for the second seat.
