Sergio Llull misses ACB game, questionable for EuroLeague double-header
Real Madrid veteran guard Sergio Llull missed Sunday’s domestic game due to a thigh injury, as reported by Pilar Casado of Movistar Basket.
According to the report, Llull is dealing with a small grade 1-2 tear near the adductor.
Although he was listed in the 12-man roster for Sunday’s 83-77 win over Gran Canaria, head coach Chus Mateo revealed after the game that Llull was held out due to the injury he picked up in last Thursday’s EuroLeague loss to Milan.
Mateo mentioned that Llull’s injury is a “small tear,” and it remains uncertain if he will be available for Tuesday’s EuroLeague Round 9 game against Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Real Madrid will then face Anadolu Efes Istanbul on Thursday in the second game of the EuroLeague double-round week.
So far this season, Llull has averaged 5.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 6.1 PIR over eight EuroLeague games, including two starts.
