Der deutsche Fußballspieler Thomas Müller hat seinen Rücktritt vom internationalen Fußball angekündigt. Der 34-jährige Star bestritt sein letztes Spiel für die deutsche Nationalmannschaft bei der Fußball-Europameisterschaft 2024 (EURO 2024).
Thomas Müller teilte auf seinem Social-Media-Account mit: "131 Länderspiele und über 14 Jahre... Ich habe mich entschieden, aus der deutschen Nationalmannschaft zurückzutreten. Danke an die Fans und alle, mit denen ich zusammengearbeitet habe."
Müller bestritt 131 Spiele für die deutsche Nationalmannschaft, in denen er 45 Tore schoss und 41 Vorlagen gab. Der erfahrene Fußballer feierte 2014 mit Deutschland den Gewinn der Weltmeisterschaft.
