VakıfBank Enters Guinness World Records for the Third Time

VakıfBank, a six-time champion of the CEV Champions League, has entered the Guinness World Records for the third time as the team that has won Europe’s most prestigious club competition the most. During a press conference held at the VakıfBank Sports Palace, Guinness World Records Adjudicator Şeyda Subaşı Gemici presented the record certificate to VakıfBank Sports Club President Abdi Serdar Üstünsalih.

Having previously set records for “The team with the most consecutive wins in official volleyball matches” and “The team with the most championships in the FIVB Club World Championship,” VakıfBank has now achieved this milestone for the third time. VakıfBank, which has inspired girls in Turkey for 39 years, has once again made history by securing six CEV Champions League titles, four of which were won undefeated. The press conference was attended by VakıfBank’s General Manager Banu Can Schürmann, Head Coach Giovanni Guidetti, and players Ayça Aykaç Altıntaş, Aylin Acar, Bahar Akbay, Cansu Özbay, Derya Cebecioğlu, and Zehra Güneş.
