“ARDA TURAN WILL GO FAR”
“Arda Turan has a bright future ahead. I think he is a very good coach. He has the potential to work at major clubs in Europe. I believe he will coach big teams in Europe. Although Arda Turan’s system is difficult, it is a very good system. He has created a good system by blending the systems of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. I think he will reach great heights.”

“When I was playing at Trabzonspor, I was very confident we would be champions. The city and the team were united. I used to pray to myself, saying, ‘Dorukhan scored, the championship is coming’ about 3-4 weeks before. Scoring that goal and helping us become champions is something I will never forget.”

“I WAS VERY UPSET AT BESIKTAS”
“I was incredibly happy at Besiktas; I had an amazing environment, and we were already champions. However, my contract was ending. I had an injury at Besiktas, but I experienced that injury for Besiktas. Such things happen in football. I really wanted to stay at Besiktas. However, some things were done to me at that time. I won’t mention them here, but if I talk, nobody will believe me. After my injury, things were done that people would say, ‘No way, this has not been done.’ After that, I said, ‘I will leave this club; even if you offer me the biggest money in the world, I cannot stay here.’ I cannot accept devaluing a person and showing disrespect. I left Besiktas with love. I was upset; they upset me a lot during that time. I did not ask for big money as written. What I needed to do at that time was that. I could not just brush these things off and continue with my life; it wouldn’t suit me. But if I had another option, I would have stayed.”
