EA FC 25 Unveils Expanded Esports Ecosystem with New Opportunities for Rising Talent

With EA FC 25 early access now live and the official release just around the corner, EA Sports has revealed major updates for its FC Pro esports ecosystem. Set to kick off this October, the competitive scene will offer more opportunities for emerging talent to earn a spot in the FC Pro World Championship.

According to a press release, FC Pro 25 will introduce an expanded FC Pro Open program, along with new monthly FC Pro Open Cups, aimed at helping players climb the ranks and compete for significant prizes. The total prize pool for the FC Pro Open season will be $1 million (~£750,000), with the season starting on October 1st with the FC Pro Open Ladder.

To enter, players must reach Division 3 in the Rivals game mode and register their interest online. Those who advance through the opening round will then compete in Regional and Global Qualifiers. The top 17 players from the competition will join seven players who have already secured spots from last year, including notable names such as PHzin, Vejrgang, Levi de Weerd, Emre Yilmaz, xcharif, Yuval, and Jafonso. This expansion brings the FC Pro Open competition to 24 players, four more than last year.

The FC Pro World Championship format remains largely unchanged, with 32 players battling for a $1 million prize pool. This year, the top eight players from the FC Pro Open will automatically qualify for the event, alongside top performers from the FC Pro Leagues and Play-Ins.

Sam Turkbas, Senior Director of Esports at EA SPORTS, stated: “FC Pro is back! Our second season will continue to tell the exciting stories of the best FC players in the world vying for the World Championship while building on the positive momentum from last season.”
